Significantly increasing productivity while cutting environmental impact.
Catalysis is critical to producing most of the chemical ingredients used in our everyday products. Our mission is to dramatically increase productivity in chemical manufacture while cutting the environmental impact.
Our approach is to design a chemical factory of the future, developing catalysis processes that are highly material, waste, and energy efficient. Our key building blocks towards sustainable catalysis include green chemistry, continuous flow processes, modular, scalable systems, real-time data analysis and control.
Green or sustainable chemistry is an established discipline to design products and processes that minimize or eliminate the use or generation of hazardous wastes. Critically, a green chemistry design approach must also deliver a strong bottom line – increased profitability for our customers and lower environmental impact across the production process and through to the end-customer.
Stoli’s design approach to sustainable, green catalysis focuses on the business outcomes for our customers. Our philosophy on sustainability doesn’t stop there. We are working to embed a sustainable approach in everything we do in growing and managing Stoli as a business, with our stakeholders and with our staff.
We aim, wherever possible, to use suppliers who are working to improve the sustainability of their products and services and who are consciously contributing to the Circular Economy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Stoli cascaded imine formation and hydrogenation; intensified process to maximise rate, and catalyst utilisation.
Short residence time and high temperature – an impossible combination for batch – allowed increasing specific reaction rates 8-fold in flow with the same product quality.
We have developed a monolith-based fuel cell catalyst for sustainable remote energy generation.
